Shaji and friends rush to the place and rescues Abu and Pinky. As the interval comes up, you keep your fingers crosses and hope against hope that things will get better, but then Mithun Manuel Thomas takes us on a skydive and scares the hell out of us with even more deadening events. As an iron-smith Thomas Paappan arms the group with rifles to confront Dude and his thugs. The director definitely shows spark, and we can only hope that he comes out with something with a solid storyline and script next, irrespective of everything else. P Sasi gets into legal trouble as he foolishly discloses the politically driven murder hits to the public. Even Mammooty films have been inspired from this.
At times, the performances get too loud that all you can do is look away till the ordeal is over. Thomas appears to be a poor marksman and runs away on seeing the police beside the gang. Suffering from some severely smug writing, 'Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeevi Aanu' is iffy stuff that delivers none of the promises that it makes, which includes serving a few earnest laughs as well. Only Sunny Wayne's performance is weak. But aadu 2 has standard jokes which everyone would enjoy. All of these movies are cult in the way they have inspired and generated a bunch of feel good films. With a political digression brought in, which includes a loudmouth leftist leader Sasi Indrans and his aide Chemban Vinod Jose , the story, or what is left of it, starts wobbling even further, until it topples down totally. Shameer apprehends the Dude and Sasi's groups, leaving Shaji and friends on their own. Verdict: I didn't like aadu 1 even after it became a cult film, but I really loved aadu 2.
